Learning Highlights
The following is a list of highlights we will focus on per subject throughout the year:
- Reading: Complex grade-level texts to practice various reading skills throughout the school year.
- Writing: Expository (to explain), Argumentative (to persuade), Narrative (tell a story )
- Math: Add/subtract/multiply/divide decimals, add/subtract/multiply/divide fractions, coordinate plane and data, volume, 2D/3D shapes
- Science: Science Fair, Solar System, Earth's Water, Weather and Climate, Matter, Energy, Human Body, Diversity and Interdependence
- Social Studies: American History, Geography, Economics, Civics and Government, Holocaust

- Students should read 30 minutes and record a brief summary nightly.
- Parents should sign planners daily.
- Our Accelerated Reader progress is monitored weekly. READ and take those tests!
- Please study and memorize your multiplication facts! We use them daily!
