Parent-Teacher Association (PTA)

Welcome, South Daytona Dragon Families!

The South Daytona Elementary PTA is excited to welcome all of our new and returning Dragon families for the 2026–2027 school year!

We would love for you to become involved with our school by joining the SDE PTA. Membership is open to everyone—including parents, guardians, grandparents, family members, school staff, community members, and all supporters of the cause.

Become a PTA Member

PTA memberships are $20 per person, and each membership includes an official South Daytona Elementary PTA T-shirt.

Becoming a PTA member does not require you to attend every meeting or volunteer at every event. Simply joining helps support our mission and allows us to provide valuable programs, resources, and experiences for our students, teachers, staff, and families.

As a PTA member, you may:

  • Volunteer at school programs, fundraisers, and family events
  • Attend PTA meetings and share your ideas
  • Vote on important PTA decisions
  • Apply to serve on the PTA Board
  • Help strengthen the connection between our school and community

Your membership directly supports projects and expenses throughout the school year, including student activities, classroom resources, teacher appreciation, family engagement events, hygiene and clothing assistance, field trips, and enrichment opportunities.

PTA is joining forces with Box Tops for Education

Don't forget to collect and turn in your Box Tops. To turn in, please send them in a bag with your child's name and teacher's name clearly marked. We are hosting a contest for the class that donates the most box tops by the end of March - the winning class will win a class party!  We will have mystery winners throughout the year as well.
