Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS)

At South Daytona Elementary, we love to encourage our students to do their Dragon best and nothing less! One of the ways we do that is by sharing our "Dragon Expectations" and rewarding students / classes who show our school wide expectations with Dragon Coins!

School PBIS Mission Statement:

To provide a positive environment of learning and respect for all.

Our motto “Dragon Expectations are a Team Effort.”

Everyone will be treated with respect and dignity. Any behavior or action that helps someone grow is encouraged. Staff will keep students focused on the expectations of Dragon Behavior.

Class Incentives

Green Dragon Coins

All of the faculty and staff will give out Green Dragon Coins in recognition of positive behavior by a class.

The Dragon coins help build community within the class as they work together toward a common goal.

Positive Referrals

All of the faculty and staff can give a Positive Referral to any student in recognition of the student demonstrating our Dragon Expectations.
